Don’t look now, it’s 2010!?!

Well here we are, living in the future, still no flying cars… I’d settle for automated cars, then I could at least make use of time on the road, plus there wouldn’t be the pesky need to remain sober. As I move into the future it amazes me to think how fast time really does pass, and how slow things change. Here’s hoping things will continue to get better on all levels! Anyhow, so it’s been a while since I let you know what’s going on. I’m sure you’ve been anxiously awaiting another exiting post,...

Awesome remix of ‘Happy Break’ by Manic Audio Kinetics

Posted by on Nov 25, 2009 in Blog, Music Production, News & Updates | 0 comments

So I uploaded my entire album ‘Bigger on the Inside’ for you to remix. Lots of people have downloaded it, but the first finished mix has come through, and the winner is ‘Manic Audio Kinetics’.  He’s a serious producer of quality tunes and a wise contributor on LivePA.org His interpretation is nothing short of brilliant, the mix will keep you guessing. When comparing it to the original it’s hard to believe it’s the same song, he took the parts from the remix pack and made them his own, exactly what...

A few ideas for getting creatively inspired

Posted by on Nov 2, 2009 in Blog, Inspiration, Philosophy, Tips & Tricks | 0 comments

From time to time I get in a mood where I don’t want to make music, be creative or productive. I want to sell all my stuff and move far away. I think happens to many of us from time to time, whatever the reason may be. But I’ve got a couple solutions that seem to work for me. Maybe they’ll work for you too. And this doesn’t just have to apply to music production, it could be painting, writing or drafting a business plan. So here we go. Try working from a new location, or with new equipment if available. I have a studio...

Updates, Warehouse party, New Releases & thoughts on time

Posted by on Oct 27, 2009 in Amusing Diversions, Blog, News & Updates, Philosophy | 0 comments

It’s been too long! I apologize for keeping you waiting! You see, when you live in an old country house, time literally slows down while the world keeps moving. It’s been documented, this phenomenon is real, ask my room mate. Anyhow, so today I am 28, and it does feel strange. I don’t feel that old and not so sure I look that old either. I wonder, if we didn’t have calendars, clocks and the like, would we know how old we are? Sure we could be using the stars to keep track of this like ancient cultures, but I wonder if...

Steamtown Records album release party – Good Times!

Posted by on Sep 6, 2009 in Blog, News & Updates | 0 comments

Last week we celebrated the release of ‘Bigger on the Inside’ and Nathan Isaksson’s ‘Damage’ at the Halo Lounge in Atlanta, an incredibly beautiful place you must check out if you haven’t already. The event went swimmingly and everyone seemed to have a great time. Friends and family were abound, some we hadn’t seen in too long. A lot of people heard the new records for the first time, and it’s always a pleasure to share your music with virgin ears. After the listening session we premiered the...

Album Release Party Less Than One Week Away

Posted by on Aug 27, 2009 in Blog, News & Updates | 0 comments

I’m very exited about the Steamtown Records album release party. In case you haven’t heard it’s at Halo Lounge on Sept. 2nd, which is a Wednesday. It starts at 8PM and goes until late. We’re doing things a bit differently with this event. It will be a dual album release party featuring both myself and Nathan Isaksson. This is very seldom done, but at Steamtown Records there is no fear of straying from the beaten path. I’m not sure how it happened, but ‘Bigger on the Inside’ (my record) and...

Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About “Bigger on the Inside”

Posted by on Aug 25, 2009 in Amusing Diversions, Blog, Music Production, Philosophy | 0 comments

I finished the record in July 2009. The 40 minutes of music you’ll find ‘inside’ are the distillation of my most ambitious musical efforts over the last several years. Musically speaking I’ve been on a strange journey. In my early years I was all about  being a rock star and playing electric guitar. Soon I’ll post some video’s of my earliest “band” performing in 1995 when we were all about 13 years old. Anyway, I moved onto playing keyboard an epic rock band and then eventually to a LivePA after...

So now that I have a blog, what to expect.

Posted by on Aug 20, 2009 in Blog, News & Updates | 0 comments

Good afternoon. You may consider this my inaugural blog post. I thought I’d lay out exactly why I’m creating a blog and what you can expect to see as a result. There are three people who you can thank for this. The first is Jonathan Coulton, he is an excellent song writer and an interesting fellow. He wrote the ending credit song for portal “Still Alive”, which is a very fun and well written tune (sung by the portal character GlaDos). From what I gathered Jonathan thinks it’s a good idea for anybody wishing to...
